It has been some time since I have been able to post on this blog. I got pregnant in the beginning of the year and have just had a really rough 9 months. Lil Max will be born on Dec 7 and I hope to get back in to crafting full force by the beginning of the year.
I unfortunately had to stop being a Stampin' UP! demonstrator. We have made a couple moves and have not really been able to get any customers so I had to keep buying the stamps and accessories in order to remain a demo. It got really expensive. It made me really sad because I enjoyed having access to all the cool products SU has to offer but I have just not had the time to continue.
I have in the last couple weeks began making Christmas cards. My desire was to get a bunch made and sell them in my on-line store, artfuldelight.com. Unfortunately the season has crept up faster than I realized. So the cards I am making now will be for personal use, sending them to all my family and friends. I will however, display them on here.
Hope to get my blog up and rolling full force within the next couple months, so don't forget about me, check back often.

Thanks so much!
This card I made, just because.

The 4.25 x 5.5 card base is Basic Grey layered with Basic Black cardstock. The flower is from the under $10 page in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog. It is the Fun Flowers(114488)stamp. I stamped it with Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Pixie Pink and Lovely Lilac inks.
I cut a scallop box to go behind flower stamp, I used Fiskars scallop scissors. The "thanks so much" stamp is embossed with white embossing powder. I used a non-SU pink ribbon and non-SU black brads. To finish it off I rounded the card corners.

Celebrate you! Birthday card
Clean, simple and easy was the focus of today's card. The "celebrate you!" stamp is from SU Phrases for a Friend set one of the retired sets I recently purchased. I am finally getting to use some of the products I bought from SU almost a month ago now. I haven't had much crafting time, by the time I get to sit down it is pretty late at night and I have no creativity left in me.
The stamp was set with Real Red Ink on Whisper White cardstock which was layered on Cameo Coral and Tempting Turquoise. Silver brads jazzed up the sides. The designer paper is from the Pink Flamingo series and layered on Summer Sun cardstock. This card measures 4.25 x 5.5.

Sketch challenge - Simply Said
This is for the Sketch Challenge 222:

I used the Raspberry Tart DSP and coordinating colors. I embossed the Pretty in Pink cardstock with SU Backgrounds I. I colored the stamp with Stampin' Pastels. I layered the flower and topped with Martha Stewart glitter, tied together with a silver brad.

My first challenge - Sweet and Simple
I had the pleasure to partake in my first challenge today at Splitcoaststampers. I was having trouble getting back my crafting mojo. Since we moved in to a new home almost a month ago I have not been feeling very creative.
Well thanks to today's challenge I think I broke through.
This was a "Clean and Simple" - CAS08 Challenge.
"Definition: A clean and simple card has limited layers and sometimes just a card base. It leaves a lot of "open space". It uses little or no embellishments. Any techniques should be the old standard everyday kind like sponging, distressing and piercing. Limit the number of tools you use. Any colored images should be small and quick. Don't go overboard on tons of punches and embossing. CAS cards should be easy and quick."
So here is my card:

This is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card with a base of Whisper White cardstock. I used the Always in Bloom wheel stamp with Basic Black ink. I colored in the stamp with Stampin' Pastels. I used a non-SU ribbon and the Elegant Thank You stamp. I colored just the "thank you" part with the Stampin' Pastels.

Paper kits by the dozens!
I received in the mail, on Thursday, a HUGE order from Stampin' UP! Of course some of it included new toys for me but more than half the order was paper. I should have it up on my ebay store within the next couple days so be sure to check it out. Some of the paper kits will include some BONUS designer paper with coordinating cardstock. YIPPEE!
